Sometimes what makes the difference is having someone in your corner. HAL offers personal coaching and peer mentorship to help youth:
Build self-esteem
Set personal goals
Stay accountable
Talk through challenges without pressure
At HAL, we teach the real-world skills that schools often miss — and that every young person deserves to know.
Our life skills sessions cover:
• Budgeting and managing money
• Job readiness and communication
• Understanding rights and advocating for yourself
• Street smarts, safety, and self-protection
• Navigating peer pressure, bullying, and gang influence
• Setting boundaries and walking away from risky situations
We don’t just tell youth what not to do — we show them better paths forward, rooted in strength, awareness, and self-respect.
At HAL, movement is medicine. We offer recreational activities that promote physical wellness, mental clarity, and connection in a non-judgmental environment.
Youth can take part in:
Boxing-based empowerment sessions (discipline, focus, confidence)
Touch football and team games (cooperation, leadership, stress relief)
Yoga and body awareness practices (healing, mindfulness, regulation)
These activities aren’t about performance — they’re about releasing stress, building self-worth, and giving youth safe ways to channel energy and emotion.
All experience levels welcome. No pressure. Just progress.
We are working with a local barbershop that has generously offered free monthly haircuts for HAL clients.
This small but powerful gesture helps youth:
Feel confident and refreshed
Prepare for job interviews or social events
Embrace a new chapter in their personal growth
This collaboration reflects HAL’s focus on dignity, presentation, and holistic well-being.
We host weekly SMART Recovery groups for youth 18+, focused on:
Managing addiction with real-life tools
Building lasting mental wellness
Setting goals — and staying motivated through life’s challenges
Led by certified facilitators and addiction counselors with lived experience, our sessions offer a judgment-free space where healing, accountability, and personal growth come together.
HAL youth co create Aligned Voices, a podcast that amplifies lived experience and real community insight. Episodes share stories and perspectives on
• Addiction recovery
• Mental health
• Youth empowerment

At Healthy Aligned Living, we know real change doesn’t happen in isolation — it takes a village.
That’s why collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. HAL is actively building meaningful relationships with local businesses, social agencies, wellness providers, and grassroots leaders who share our commitment to empowering youth.
We’re proud to work alongside barbers, boxing gyms, mental health professionals, and social service organizations who open their doors to help youth feel seen, supported, and safe.
What makes HAL different is that we don’t just serve the community — we are the community.
Our team is made up of individuals with lived experience who have walked similar paths of addiction, trauma, violence, and justice involvement. This gives us a unique level of understanding, authenticity, and trust with the youth we serve.
Together with our partners, we are not only supporting youth in crisis — we’re working to break cycles of trauma, poverty, and incarceration.
By providing healthy alternatives, real mentorship, and meaningful opportunities, HAL is committed to lowering recidivism and helping young people rewrite their stories.
“If you’re a community leader or service provider who believes in youth potential, we’d love to connect”~~ H.A.L.
